Five Organizations establish a Medical Devices Fund

          Five research organizations have contributed a total of 100 million baht to establish a TMTE fund to push private and business medical technology research to commercial production. First-year goal is 50 new research products on the market. 

          The Thailand Research Fund (TRF), Thailand Center of Excellence for Life Sciences (TCELs), Health Systems Research Institute (HSRI), National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), and Technology and Innovation-based Enterprise Development Fund (TED Fund) in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology each contributed twenty million baht to establish the Thailand MED Tech Excellence (TMTE) Fund to support private medical technology research companies to commercialize their products in the real world. Acceptance criteria consider the readiness to transfer technologies through marketing and commercial advertising.
